Seoul Fashion Report
book presentation by Michael Hurt

for too long, promotion of korea's image overseas has relied on old-fashioned, conservative views of what koreans think foreigners want to see: hanboks, fan dances, hanok houses, or palaces. but these things are nothing more than exotica, even to koreans themselves. even as korea has lately been trying to brand itself the "hub of fashion in asia" as well as the "design capital of asia," the promotion of korean culture itself is so staid and conservative that few people ever hear about the culture's true charms. …

"the seoul fashion report" is a style and fashion diary of korean life. It is full of color and verve, passion and sex, joy and happiness. our photo work is fresh and frank, and strives to break down the barriers between what people say and what they do, between reality and mere propaganda, as well as between korea and the outside world. we mix smart street, documentary, and fashion photography with original editorial content that has edge. (taken from the editor’s note)

the seoul fashion report will be presented by michael hurt, the editor and photographer of the book who is also the founder of the independent online fashion magazine

the book will be sold in a discounted price of 60.000 won.
