Mike Masnick & Hugh McGuire
digital shift & creative industry

thursday evening, Mike Masnick (Techdirt) and Hugh McGuire (PressBooks) will talk and discuss the digital shift in the creative industry.

internet and digitization bring new opportunities and challenges for both creators (musicians, filmmakers, authors, other artists) and publishers. traditional roles are changing and new business models evolve.

which opportunities are there?

how do artists and distributors take advantage of them so far?

how does the digitization transform traditional roles?

the event is organized by the Berlin based internet think tanks cnetz,  D64, iRights, Stiftung Neue Verantwortung and the Internet & Society Collaboratory.

the two talks by Mike Masnick and Hugh McGuire will be followed by a discussion (in english) where everyone will have the chance to share his opinion and ask questions.
