our usual family and friends appointment gets ready to welcome one of the world's most innovative turntablists! we'll shake and scratch the world with Hix Boson the X-traterrestrial Sxratch Musician.

GHETTOELECTRO showcases Alex Sonnenfeld aka Hix Boson, perhaps best known for developing S-Notation, a written notation model that covers all manual motions of a turntablist's instrument through the systematic representation of notation symbols. sonnenfeld's work on S-Notation spanned 14 years, some of which he spent in constant contact with the composer and visionaries Professor Karlheinz Stockhausen (1928-2007).

Stockhausen is considered one of the most important music scientists of the 20th century for his work in electronic music, aleatory (chance) in serial composition and musical spatialization. Sonnenfeld developed his S-Notation into the thesis Bewegungslehre, a scientific music analysis of turntablism that is currently under review with various music scientists in Germany.

manufacturers of DJ technology such as Native Instrument, Stanton or Ortofon trust his skill and sponsor since many years his projects. DJ Mag Online "DJWORX " in 2011 choosed him as the official "YouTube Scratch Professor". his musical range extends from experimental black music tunes trap shit, bass music to Ghetto Electro - an innovative mix of hip hop acapellas and ultra fat electronic beats.

he was support for: Wu -Tang Clan, The Pharcyde, Paul Kalkbrenner, Bushido, Thomas Schumacher, Kool Savas, Sido, Fler, Westbam, Marusha and more.

his goal is to make turntable- and mixer-based music theory an accepted musical art form. Sonnenfeld lives in Berlin, working as a Guest Professor at Qbert Skratch University in San Francisco.

Hix Boson's goal for the showcase GETTOELECTRO is to bring a new approach to scratching in the electronic music scene, inspiring others to treat the turntable as a new musical instrument. let the madness begin!

afterward DJ Deena will keep your bellies warm and steady.
