TILMAN PORSCHUETZ's creative energy finds its outlet in different projects such as the artist group hana hanako, the free jazz band loucy louder and the label shalom salon.

looking from the outside, tilman porschuetz's creative activities seem quite arbitrary and chaotic: jam sessions with random musicians of all genres, random body performances and fake identity projects. he feels home in performance situations, academic discussions and hardcore drinking sessions. a closer look makes clear that all that is part of a bigger game, namely the examination of the conditions of communication itself.

putting himself into as many as different contexts as possible to feel out reactions, moral limitations and expectations is a goal in itself, while the process is guided by opening up spaces through irrationalism, body experiences and dilettantism.

his main project during the residency period will be an exploration within a social field that is at the same time a huge market and a moral taboo - prostitution. tilman porschuetz will investigate the production process of flyers advertising services in the sex industry through getting involved in the actual production of these flyers. The challenge is to find a morally correct position as an artist  and the right means of artistic expression.
